Have used a number of turntables over the years (since the 70s), and never have found any one of them that is 'perfect'. That being said, for the $$, this Crosley does the job. It was easy to 'set up' (given the AT cartridge was already adjusted correctly out of the box), and the cartridge/(low mass) tonearm delivered not only a good sound - but ameliorated one of my early concerns about the TT (no Anti Skating adjustment), but there have been no skating issues observed, to date. Ran the cartridge a little lighter than the book on the AT3000L cartridge, at 2.5gms vs. 3.5gms, and also found that to be better to run with than the heavier setting. The only other niggles (minor, in my view) were that the cueing was a bit brash (not slow, but you can 'guide' it, when you get the feel of the cueing lever), and the counterweight could use a better system of adjusting the tracking force. However, I did not encounter the weight changing, at all, while cycling records, etc. - and I checked it quite regularly with my digital tracking force / weight gauge. Overall - well done, for the price!Read full review

If you're using the built-in-phono, the sound is terrible. The highs are shrill which hurt the ears; the lows are okay, but nothing great either. The counterweight balance is rather loose, meaning the weight of the tonearm are easily compromised while play. This is horrible considering even the slightest change from the desired weight can damage the vinyl record. The only pro I can say is that it looks nice. I do dig the design, but the functionality and build quality are rather terrible.

No accurate adjustment in sloppy tone arm. Looks fantastic but a piece of artwork to look at that does not function well. I suppose it is a very cheap item so you get what you pay for. Have bought something else at a much higher end.

Cheaply manufactured and runs at wrong speed. No (easy) way to adjust this. Tone arm balance is sloppy, lose and moves freely thus any balance set is quickly negated!
