Cut from a roll, I'd definitely recommend purchasing a roll with friends and cutting it yourself. However, that aside, 1.5 is a decent length to obtain a great workout if undertaking exercises that incorporate full extension of the band. I examined the quality of all 5 coloured bands and apart from the yellow, which is the lightest band, I'd be confident that the bands will last a long time. I just finished a workout with the blue band and I'm 5'8" and got a decent workout.
