This is my second Oracle, 1 at home and now 1 at work. Easy to use, makes a great coffee. Consistency is good so I can assess bean taste rather than get caught up in the machine or other variables. Like all good brews it comes down to creating personal taste. It can need 'tuning' from default settings (which is easy), also some time to season and settle in. Without reservation I highly recommended this machine.

Not yet producing coffee to the quality level of my Lelit combi (which also featured a built-in grinder at half the price of the Oracle) but I believe I will get there. Overall convenience and speed of the machine is great, however the machine only comes with a double-dose filter basket, and the auto grinder always fills this basket up with a double dose of coffee. Pressing the 1cup button runs 1 shot's worth of water through 2 shots' worth of grounds, which means the 1cup button always makes a ristretto. Apparently Breville are working on a special single-dose filter basket that works with the auto tamp. Only realistic workaround for now is to always use the 2cup button and just let 1 shot pour straight into the drip tray.
