For those who love the classic era of Thomas, I can understand why they wouldn't be up for the new content that has been made since HIT took over. Personal I can watch the show up until the end of season 7 before stopping there. Not to say the model work/cinematography in season 8-12 were bad, if anything, that is the only highlight I can think of for that part of Thomas and Friends' run. But still understandable all the same why fans were put off by what hit made. But I like to keep an open mind about things. So after trying certain episodes out, I can say that actually from season 19 onwards, Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends is actually enjoyable again. The writing is great and the animation is fantastic! I've found myself cracking up laughing with the comedic timing the show has to offer. Really Great stuff. It's not like the classic era but it's a different style of show from that era. And this style has evolved into something that's just as good as the classic era in it's own way. I've heard good things about season 18 but I feel season 19 is good pick up point for Thomas Fans who are interested in getting back into the series. Especially with since that's where Thomas' current voice actor takes over the role, not to say Ben Small was bad but I feel that John Hasler (I hope I got the name right) is the right fit for Thomas' character. Overall, it's worth checking out. :)Read full review
