Ubiquiti make good products, unfortunately the lack of standards for setup and PoE requirements make it impossible to recommend their range. This WAP would not power up when connected to my Ubiquiti ToughSwitch, nor Ubiquit PoE injectors. I finally got it to work with a non-Ubiquiti injector (48V). The ToughSwitch can no longer be configured due to SSL issues with Chrome (the only browser that worked previously). While most Ubiquiti WAPs can be setup using their app, I also installed a couple of Ubiquiti NanoStation WAPs - these can only be configured via a web browser. The old Ubiquiti app on my Mac can no longer be used to manage and monitor my WAPs - i have to run configurations on my iPhone. It seems like Ubiquiti cannot stick to any of its own 'standards' and just changes its technology and setup approach with each new product. This might be great for new sales, but it is a massive pain for those of us with 'legacy' products. I have started looking for a new supplier to replace my existing units as they fail.Read full review

Easy to setup on the cloud key and worked perfectly once setup. This is a great little unit for the wall or custom stand/swingarm. Both Band frequencies work great and no frequencies interference. If you are looking for an inexpensive WAP that has descent range without going overboard on P2P distance ranges and have the same or similar built in software as the larger enterprise units, this little WAP will suffice very well! Great for any size room, small to medium halls, classes, conference rooms, etc. Please Note: This works well with the range of UniFi network products and unless you are familiar with how UniFi networks are setup, I would not recommend this for someone with basic or no knowledge of wifi networks or wireless technology in general. You would need someone quite familiar with UniFi to setup properly.Read full review

Have bought a few of these over the years and they've all be rock solid, as has all the Ubiquiti equipment I've used. The in-walls are pricey, but nice and discreet.

These Wi-FI access points are a bit expensive but are of high quality and give really strong reliable signal. The main trick is to make sure you have a way to power the device by PoE, by either a switch or inline injector. Full specs and install guide are available in the Ubiquiti website
