I don't usually spend this much on an electric shaver, but when I do I buy this German brand for quality engineering. I don't get neck rashes as I normally do with a cheap one and it shaves well, even though it may not be the closest. The only con I have is that the cleaning base is quite large.

I was very afraid of shaving with electric shavers because of my sensitive skin due to razor burns. But I thought to give it another go with Braun. After using 5190CC, I’m really satisfied due to its smoothness and I really did not feel any uncomfortable itching from the very first time I used it. Though it becomes sometimes difficult to shave off those curly hair on neck under the chin. But that’s not stopping me to praise this great shaver.

I have not tried the latest of this series so that Series 5 5190cc is, to my experience, the best in its class. Having tried various Japanese brands before, it is like driving a luxurious German car from a standard Japanese car. Smooth operation with a facility of self-cleaning after use. What a convenience !

Good value for money, Gives clean shave. My previous Braun had lasted more than 10 years until the battery started to go flat. I hope this one last as long as the last one. Shares the same cleaning cartridges so the unused ones form the old shaver doesn't go to waste. The only down side to this model is a missing travel case.
