The front-side bus speed of 1333 MHz facilitates faster transfer between the processor's different components. To handle large amounts of data, the Xeon X3360 has 12MB of L2 cache. The cache system is a fast and streamlined source of memory that stores the most frequently accessed data from the main system RAM. Thanks to its large memory stores, the microprocessor will automatically optimize the use of available data bandwidth.In addition to enhanced speed, you'll enjoy the CPU's energy-efficient features. These features are made possible via Intel's Enhanced SpeedStep technology, which dynamically adjusts the processor's voltage and frequency to meet the needs of the software.     Excellent upgrade!

    It is an excellent upgrade to my aristocratic motherboard Intel DP35DP, dated 2008. There was thermal gel supplied in the package. However, the CPU is so-called "Engineering sample", not "Production" one. This is not marked with ES on the cap - it can be detected by a small program from Intel site. This does not mean that this CPU is bad. There are many Intel CPUs on the market which are "Engineering samples", usually they are cheaper and work perfectly. The delivery was surprisingly fast. Thanks.

    Good CPU

    Put this good old Xeon in an Asus P5E LGA775.. No problem with the install, pc booted up with no errors. (New bios was pre-installed by me). It runs cool and quiet with a Noctua NH-L12 cooler in my HTPC.
