    Solid switch to build your network on.

    Needed more ports for my network and I also wanted to upgrade to 1Gbit Ethernet, This Switch accomplishes both. This is a Unmanned switch so there is nothing to configure it doesn't have any services. It has 48Gbit of switching capacity so it can theoretically handle all 24ports running @ 1Gbit in both directions at the same time, A lot of cheaper and smaller switches do not have the capacity to handle heavy load. So far it's been running fine most of my network is still 1/100 though, I got a good price on a used corporate unit. My only complaint is the cooling fan is quite loud in it.

    Great value for the money!! I've recommended this same unit to many others!

    I was in the market for a rackmount gigabit switch. I was looking at 16 port netgear units when I came across this unit. Not only did I get this for less than $40.00 SHIPPED!!! But, it is a 3Com and it is rack mountable. 24 ports allows for some nice upgrades so it makes this unit very future proof. I highly recommend picking one up if you are in the market for an exceptionally well built gigabit rack mount switch that even has an internal cooling fan (not like it needs it though).

    ok using at home

    good switch but noisy fans I took it apart and replaced fan with a 80mm silent fan to keep noise down
