This is a rock solid drive. Intel NAND Flash Memory Multi-Level Cell (MLC) Technology for reliability. This is not a fast drive by today's standards, but id data security is important to you this drive is a good choice. It is much faster than spinning disk drives. I've had boot times under a minute on a regular basis since installing this drive. Thinkpad Windows 7 2.2Ghz Core2Duo These are designed for servers, but they work quite well in laptops. They feature a robust power supply designed to minimize data loss in the event of a power loss. I have several of these drives and have had no problems partitioning, formatting or installing software on them using Windows or Linux operating systemThis is a rock solid drive. It was a great bang for the buck.
This speed up my new system. I had built a new I7-4770 with asus z87-a and decided to include an ssd drive at the recommendation of a computer repair shop I use on a regular basis. They highly recommended Intel as an industry standard. I couldn't agree more. My computer boots up in under a minute no matter how many apps, programs or device that are attached. It was a great bang for the buck. I had to clone my operating system to the drive and left that up to the experts. Don't waste time on standard SATA drives. FAST, easy set up. Works great! I replaced standard hard drive, now boot up is just a few seconds. Programs load way faster.
