    Fast, reliable, relatively cheap (RAID 0 w/TRIM windows 8 Pro.

    I purchased one of these a few years ago to replace a failed OCZ Vertex 2 SSD, which replaced a RAID 0 raptor setup. The difference was night and day from the HDD to the SSD and allowed me to keep the computer as it was for a few more years. I have since upgraded to an i5 2500k Overclocked with a few TB's of storage and an overclocked/unlocked GPU. I do play a lot of games so I would have to uninstall old games (that I wasn't done with) to make room for new games (I love those steam sales). I added this second Samsung 830 in a RAID 0 mostly for the extra storage. I was able to benefit with double the storage, almost twice the speed in a few scenarios and all less than a single Samsung 256GB SSD (wait for the sales). I am on a P67 chipset which does not normally support TRIM, but it is ...

    Bang for the buck!

    It's amazing to see Samsung come so far in the enthusiast space. From a drive that I simply wouldn't recommend to building a downright competitive solution backed by a near flawless track record. What I'm even more excited about with this drive is the fact that it will likely find its way into a number of high end OEM systems over the next year. Although I'm glad that more manufacturers are offering SSDs with their systems, I'm often disappointed by their controller selection. If the PM830 is included in the option pool for the next round of design wins however, I'll be much more comfortable recommending that users tick the vendor-supplied SSD option

    SSD is good, samsung is bad.

    It's a Samsung (unfortunately). Personally, I hate their brand, though this SSD is not a disappointment. The low power consumption is a plus, though the max IOPS are a tad low for today's standards, not for its generation though. Worth getting? If you care about 3 watts less than an OCZ, which are far superior as far as reliability and performance.

    easy to hook up, easy to install.

    I love these hard drives and I got this one at an excellent price. Just remember to use your system to initialize it as the first step after hooking it up.

    Fast easy to install, all the things you should expect in a SSD

    Nice fast device. It does all that you would expect from a SDD. It's fast, and installation is as smooth as it can be. I am using this in a Sony laptop with Kubuntu 13.04 and so far I couldn't be happier.
