You can install it in a second bay and use it as an additional disk for games alone. Each time the device boots, it might be able to check the partition table for logical drives. If this is the case, then you can split the 1TB capacity into more than one volume. If your game console can view huge volumes but requires the FAT32 file system, then this device supports that as well. It is compatible with third-party Windows utilities that create large FAT32 volumes. It is also compatible with the mkdosfs command used by Linux. This allows you to prep this drive on a PC before putting it into a game console. Should your console require exFAT, this disk also provides support for this file system.

    No problem at all

    I received this hard drive and installed it myself. It started working immediately. I used my backup disk to reinstall everything to the original version and it works like a charm. Save me a ton of money. If I had known it was this easy and reasonable, I could have saved $1,300 because I had to purchase another laptop immediately after this laptops hard drive quit. I will definitely tell friends about this purchase.

    Check carefully before you buy

    The connector for the enclosure is completely different from my hard drive that I have this is 40 pin enclosure and 44 pin hard drive I didn't realize it was probably my fault I didn't research it well enough but I can't even use it I'm gonna try and find a hard drive that will help me to use it but as it is it's just gonna sit in my computer thing bag until I can find some use for

    A little fireplug - for a terabyte in a small form factor, it's fantastic.

    Fantastic 2.5" drive for my Seagate GoFlex Net. Seems to be a rebadged Samsung, which is good because Samsung, Toshiba, HGST and the smaller manufacturers seem to have a better track record of long-term spindle reliability, based on the data that BackBlaze has been sharing with the public at large. Drive seems very fast, has been reliable for the few months I've had it in operation, and was fairly easy to integrate (4K sectors can cause problems with certain operating systems, but experienced PC techs shouldn't have a problem.) Highly recommended.
