Sturdy construction with desirably snug fit in 12-volt outlet delivers good power for charging. Cord emerging from side of charger keeps cord lying neatly along surface of dash and console. Coiled cord reduces clutter and still allows convenient choices for positioning. Ring of white illumination on charger body shows when 12-volt outlet is delivering power, avoiding confusion about when phone is actually charging. Illumination is sufficient to aid in handling phone when car interior is otherwise dark. This older model has superior design to new versions.
