    Excellent value Quad Core AMD CPU line.

    Great value cpu line from AMD. Phenom II x 4 940 represents great value as a used buy. Compatible with a wide range of used AM2 and AM2+ motherboards and when combined with a decent used graphics cards, it is capable of outperforming new modern budget machines. I have used over a dozen Phenom II x 4 chips in my builds with some running for over 8 years 24/7 and none of them have failed. They are easy to overclock and water coolers make them idea for serious overclocking enthusiasts or learning how to overclock without risking your MEGABUCKS cpus. Even at stock they make great student or kids machines for peanuts. Highly recommended CPU.

    Great Processor as upgrade for old MB, issues sometimes.

    This was a great upgrade from a 2 core processor. I have had a few problems with bsod, that seem to trace back to the processor. However it was second hand and I have on idea if it was over clocked before, but I have not even reached its theoretical sweet spot of 3.6 before hitting problems. I even bought a new Heat sink for it. Draw your own conclusions from this review. Just being honest.
