Wonderful features but requires accommodation for office environment.
I am using this hub in a home office. It has been great. It appears to have been designed for mounting in an equipment bay. This meant that I had to make accommodations in the following areas: 1) The hub connections and power connection are on opposite sides of case. Worse, the status lights and hub connections are on same side. There is no obvious orientation which avoids having cables hanging out the front. I actually have the device positioned upside down, end-to-end with all cables toward back and status lights toward front. 2) There is a really noisy internal fan which blows all the time. This is a fine design for a packed equipment rack with hot equipment above and below you but not for an office. I had to disconnect the fan. Doing so requires a special screwdriver head ... I am using this hub in a home office. It has been great. It appears to have been designed for mounting in an equipment bay. Worse, the status lights and hub connections are on same side. There is no obvious orientation which avoids having cables hanging out the front. Doing so requires a special screwdriver head and if all you have is a flatblade or Phillips, you may have to do some damage to gain access to the case interior. From time to time, I check the case temperature and it is not hot at all, reinforcing that the fan is overkill for an office environment.
