Kind of a bizarre transaction. Days after purchasing I got a note saying that it was going to be shipped but if I wanted to pay more I could have it expedited. I chose not to and just wait. A few weeks went by and I asked for tracking information. Got another offer to pay more to expedite the shipping. I declined. The package showed up the very next day, although it wasn't packed very well. Very odd. In the end I got the advertised item at a good price, so can't complain too much.

Good Camra for the $ and easy to use with good features
I bought this camera 2 months ago. Shipping was really quick...5*'s to the seller...Camera is compact and easy to carry in your pocket. Camera performs good in low light. Night shots are not consistent. Love the Panorama feature but pictures are not always good, some time you see disconnect in the center of image. Night images are also not consistent but most of the images are good. Good battery life. Camera is really quick and responsive which I love most. with some other camera response is so sluggish that you miss the shot. Over all I love this camera but sony can do better job than this but then again for $200-$250 what else you can expect. Bottom line I love this camera and for sure recommend to anyone who is looking for compact camera which is easy to use and bunch of good features.I bought this camera 2 months ago. This camera is super-compact and has a good build quality. Overall picture quality is above average. Low-light shots are excellent for a compact camera. Noise control is good but prints show noticeable software-based noise reduction at high ISOs. This camera is fast and the lens is good, but I was expecting less barrel distortion from Sony's vaunted "G" lens badge. It has excellent chromatic aberration control, but it seems that the image processor removes some CA, so the lens may actually display the artifact. The best features are sweep panorama, HD video, and 10fps burst at full resolution. This camera works well as a digiscoping camera, although it lacks accessory threads. The negatives are lack of SD card support, no AVCHD video codec, and no RAW support. It looks like the ... This camera is super-compact and has a good build quality. I have had this camera for about a week now.It is small and fits in my jeans front pocket.Take good pictures in low light and is very easy to operate.My wife has used it and loves the size and how well the controls are to read.Very bright flash alows you to take picture in dimly lit room and look like daylight.The low light feature is great you can take candid shots without disturbing the action.The low light pics look brighter then the video screen shows,whick is great. The smile detection is fun and everyone laughs trying not to smile to fool the camera winding up with some real funny shots.The baby pics we took may be some of the best pictures we have of or grandbaby.They look so realistic not washed out from flash or dark form no flash.The battery seams to hold up well we only charged ... I have not played with this enough to get better results but I think the setting can be changed for better results. I must say it does everything that I bought it for well and I am happy with it.

Truly Exceptional for low light and for wide angle
This is an outstanding camera in most dimmensions and specs, and stands out in low light situations and for its wide angle lens capability (24mm SLR equivalent). This little camera lacks nothing for its class - $250-$300 - and surpasses other like class cameras on most specs and features. Forgetting all the details, specs, and features, this camera is a joy to own and use. The form factor is compact, easily slipping into a shirt pocket. Controls are simple and intuative once you've read the manual. In fact, EVERY control button, location, and design is a step up from my prior Sony WS55 camera bought 5 years ago (and still working fine after moderate use). For me, the reason to upgrade from my WS55 was for the two mentioned attributes of low light and wide angle; both often used for ... A true bargain. Will most users use the low light capability? Yes they will, and it is automatic. Will most users use the wide angle 24MM lens setting? Yes they will, and it is the default lens position.

Lacks Manual Adjustments & Settings! Grade: C- at BEST!
5 MAJOR things that are VERY dissapointing about this camera: 1) The Power Button is too far to the left for it to be operated with just one hand. This means that everytime I want to use the camera, I have to have both hands free, even if for only a second, in order to hold the camera and press the Power Button. I did NOT have this issue on my Sony DSC-W55. 2) This camera has an "Intelligent" selection on the dial selector which automatically selects which focus/camera setting you are shooting with from a small array of otherwise UNSELECTABLE shooting options; For Example, if you are taking a shot of the horizon, it will automatically select "Landscape". If you are shooting a pic of something up-close, it selects "Macro". This is all fine and good, expecially for a BEGINNER/AMATURE ... 5 MAJOR things that are VERY dissapointing about this camera: 1) The Power Button is too far to the left for it to be operated with just one hand. Not only does this make taking back-to-back pictures in simi-rapid succession difficult, but in situations where you want MAX Battery life, having the camera show a review, WASTES the battery! 4)This camera has a lens protector "cover" which is supposed to CLOSE when you power-down the camera and the lens retracts. This "cover" NEVER closes fully when the camera powers down! It ALWAYS requires a slight tap or touch for it to close the rest of the way! This is just plain STUPID that a company of this caliber would have this problem with a camera which is the newest in the long line of DSC! My W55 had this problem too, but it WOULD close fully ~50% of the time! I would have expected Sony to have completly fixed this problem since this model is 5 or 6 models Newer than my W55! 5) This is a BIG Issue to me: MACRO and what is sometimes called "Super Macro" (VERY close-up) pics with this camera just SUCK!!! It often times takes me 5 to 10 "focus'" in order for this camera to identify what it is that I'm trying to shoot, and to focus on that object. When I say "focus'" I'm referring to the 1st, LIGHT depression of the Shoot button where the camera focuses on the object, and then you press just a LITTLE harder and the camera actually takes the pic. When taking Macro and "Super Macro" shots, getting the camera to focus is an annoying impossibility, EVEN when using a Tri-Pod! I didn't have nearly this much trouble with my W55. USUALLY, digital cameras have more trouble than film cameras, but if the Macro object is in the Center of the 'Screen', it can "figure it out" after a couple/few tries...NOT this camera! SUPER ANNOYING! This alone is cause enough for me to buy a new camera! I guess Sony is going the way of so many other companies where "Sony" is just another NAME, and doesn't mean "QUALITY" anymore! This is sad. My WX1 is a true DISSAPOINTMENT! I will NOT be making my next digital camera a Sony even though 4 of the last 5 of my Digital Cameras have been Sony! Sorry Sony, but I will be taking my money elsewhere! 559Josh
