    Good buy at under $30.00

    I purchased this hard drive for a Dell Latitude D410 that is part of the used sales inventory of my computer repair shop. These net books came either with a 4200 RPM IDE hard drive or the 5400 RPM. The 5400 RPM drive is definitely the way to go. The improved response time makes the 4200 RPM drive a poor choice when purchasing a net book or laptop drive. I've not ever had a problem with a Fujitsu drive and the one I just purchased was no exception.

    good basic drive for old laptops

    I separately purchased a Panasonic ToubhBook CF-50 (mk3) laptop on EBay which did not have a drive, drive caddy, or battery, so I had to purchase those components separately. This is the second laptop of this type I own and I installed Linux as the OS on this one. This drive was the same size and similar to the original, and simply plugged right into the IDE connector in the drive caddy. The market price for this drive on eBay is currently around $30-35.00 (US). I paid $31 including shipping. This is not bad unless you need a larger drive. EIDE drives are currently more expensive (and harder to find) than the SATA drives commonly found in laptops today. If you have a MicroCenter store nearby, you can probably find a larger (and new) EIDE drive for about twice the price that I paid. ...

    Just right! As advertised. Very satisfied.

    I purchased this HDD to replace the same brand,size,etc. in a Toshiba L15-S104 that I'd bought used online.Received this HDD not long after I purchased it.Installed and have formatted & reformatted several times only because I was looking for a good Linux distro for this older laptop with apps that I have on two other desktops.No problems at all with this HDD.Runs quiet, smooth & fast enough for me. Now I wish I'd bought a larger one! ;)

    Fujitsu MHV2040AH 40 GB ATA-100 Hard Drive

    The drive functions well, quiet and quick. No issues, I required this model specifically for compatability issues with a Thinkpad T43. Drive was detected properly and functioned flawlessly. T43 requires drives that are of a specific model this being one of the approved ones.
