Old cartridge, still usable
We knew that the toner was likely to be caked up after so long a time sitting on a shelf. Before installing it in our printer, we gave the cartridge a good shaking - but noticed that a fine mist of toner was released. At first use, the print was a bit light, but it has darkened after subsequent prints. We use our older Epson printer because it is superior to most new printers available nowadays. It can be difficult to find toner cartridges; so we were happy to purchase this one; but later learned that we paid too much. New Life for an Old Printer
I bought my Action Laser 1500 new in 1993. It is used at home so doesn't get used everyday. In fact, I just replaced the ORIGINAL print cartridge with this one! These old laser cartridges are good for about 6,000 pages compared to what, 200 pages for today's ink jet cartridges! Took the cartridge out of its packaging, stuck it in the printer and it was good to go, hopefully for another 17 years. Epson Actionlaser 1000
I've had this printer for many years and even though it's considered a dinosaur, it still performs great. I do have trouble finding the toner for this machine since it's been discontinued but, I can't seem to have a good reason to replace it.
