    Brother Pro Series MFC-5890CN Printer

    The Brother MFC (Multi Funtion Center) series is a great all around printer that will give you solid service. I have had similar HP units and the Brother has out performed them hands down. Some folks are not happy with the speed of printing photos, and I am not one for exceptional patience in this respect, but I do not think the few seconds difference in time required is worth sacrificing the quality of photos you can get from the Brother series. Another BIG difference is the cost of ink. Lets face it... this is a major issue everyone should concider when looking at a new printer. The Brother machines I have used have all had seperate color cartrages. This has saved me mega dollars over the years. With a brand that has one multicolor cartrage you may use up one color and have to change ...

    Glad I bought it

    I give it a 4 because aint nothin perfetc. We use this AIO at home for personal stuff, although I occasionally bring home work and print documents for work. I basically bought this model because of the 11 x 17 capability and have been pleased with the overall quality in printing, copying and scanning. I don't fax. I printed some pictures at 11 x 17 of my grandkids that were on the internet at low resolution, so low that the print program advised against printing them. However, the prints are excellent, clear and good color. It may not be wireless, but my router is, so I am downstairs and the printer is next to my wife's computer, upstairs. Using the fast print mode for documents, I get good life on the ink. I definitely would, and have, recommend this and other Brother AIOs, in ...

    It does it all!

    This compact All in One machine offers very high quality printing combined with scanning and faxing. It is easy to use and set up and it has good speed when duplicating either in B & W or color. The Fax does not work well with my regular phone line as it has a voicemail and they interfere with each other. I simply got a dedicated line and it was a quick fix at minimal cost. If you run a small office this is an excellent value for the money, offering versitility, and high quality. I love the fact it prints up to 11 X 17 when I need it.

    Great Buy at $109!

    Ordered refurbished printer and then went to Staples to get 11X17 paper, found they had similar model and it looked huge. Yes, when it arrived, it was bigger than I expected, loaded with features. Big ink cartridges, printed fine with our available laptops. This model doesn't have wifi. We don't have convenient way to network it without running a new cable from one side of the house to the other, so we use the usb cable and do our printing in the laundry room. This looks like a professional office grade machine and prints great 11X17 documents as well as scans. We don't use the fax currently, but the user's manual has extensive fax operation documentation. Great printer at a low price.

    Brother MFC-5890CN All-In-One Inkjet Printer

    Owned 4 Brother Multifunction printers previously; very good reliability, print quality, economical ink cartridges, and ease of maintenance. This model doesn't live up to the reputation of previous models. Not wireless, manual is not user-friendly, the fax function is unnecessarily complicated and not TAD-friendly, print speed is slow, does not live up to advertised pages-per-minute in B/W or Color. However, the print quality is laser-perfect.
