Works with XSANE in modern Linux distros
Works like it should but is a little slow with the higher resolution settings as can be expected. I like the small size of the scanner as I can store it in a drawer when I'm not using it. It connects with a single usb plug and is powered by your computers usb.

Good imaging for 600dpi, very functional for business & home use. EZ setup.
Easy to use & setup if you know how to install the drivers and software from the Visioneer website. Nicest feature is that this particular scanner doesn't require a power supply and it's very slim. This keeps your desktop cleaner for stationary use and since it's powered directly through the USB cable it works very well for portable use with any laptop or tablet with a USB port. Works well with XP or older Windows, haven't tried it with Mac or 'other' OS. Even though the info on these doesn't say it works with Win7 or up, I expect it will if you can install the drivers. 600DPI isn't considered pro printing/publishing quality anymore, but this makes one heck of a good color imager for emailing documents or pictures for use on a computer display. Not worth your time. Outdated unit for windows 10 and above
This scanner will only work with windows XP. No usable software for scanner without paying for third party expensive software for a cheap scanner. Better off buying brother scanner.

Great if you still use Windows XP and don't need a document feeder
If you have an old Windows XP machine laying around (it doesn't work on anything newer), this is a great little scanner. It doesn't require an external power supply so it works perfectly as a portable solution to go with my old laptop.
