Replaced an older Linksys Wireless N with this model. Have a larger 3500 square foot home with basement. This router covers the entire house and then some. Driving to school the other day my son commented he still had signal a block away! Highly recommend.

I am not able to recommend this router and I can't call it a good value if I can't get it to work properly. I did the firmware update on the unit, as suggested, to start with. It is very hard to get it up and working. My original Netgear router was set to get the IP address dynamically from the ISP. I set this router up the same way, and it would not work. Our ISP does not provide us with a static IP. I actually had to plug this router into my Netgear router in order to get it to work at all. The 5.8GHz does give nice range which is what I wanted. Maybe I will have to spend some more time with it, but to start with, quite dis-satisfied. I would suggest to find another dual band wireless router.

Works well and has good coverage as expected. There seems to bee no way to hold the 4 antennae in a vertical position. It works fine. Important to do the setup at tplinkwifi.net before using.
