    Upgrading the Acer Aspire 5315

    The Acer Aspire 5315 came with an 80G drive, which in this day and age isn't enough, even though I mainly use the laptop for Facebook and word Processing. I knew the Acer Aspire 5315 was limited in the drive it could take, but somewhere I read that this particular drive the: Hitachi 500GB SATA Laptop Hard Drive 5400RPM HTS545050B9A300 could be encouraged to take the place of the 80G drive. One of my friends was passing through on his way to a 6 month trip around Australia, and while he was here he "Ghosted" the 80G drive and installed the Hitachi in it's place. It worked a treat. The drive performs faultlessly. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to upgrade their Acer Aspire 5315, he also upgraded the Memory to 3G.

    Great. I am very happy

    This is the second one of these I have purchased in the past 6 months. The first was for a friend's laptop to replace a Toshiba drive that had failed and this was for a used laptop I bought for myself that did not have a drive. Both have been quiet and reliable. I also use Hitachi drives in my desktop computers. I like their reliability and support.

    Great product for the price

    This is a great value. It works and runs like the most expensive hard drives. Very easy to use. I replaced my 320gb with this 500 and it was perfect. Now I have more storage space
