Players reenlist for more mercenary combat through massively destructible environments in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. A direct sequel to the original, the game has players resuming their place among the AWOL squad that found its fortune at the end of the first Bad Company. Picking up the plotline soon after the end of the first game, the story follows the group through the rocky Russian border and beyond, with missions set in dense jungles and barren deserts as well as snow-covered mountains.<br><br>Buildings and other objects of all sizes can be damaged or destroyed completely, with the right firepower at the right time and place. Players can proceed through each mission as they see fit, be it through stealthy ambushes, keen tactical strikes, or heavily armed frontal assaults that leave nothing but smoldering rubble in their wake.<br><br>As in the first game, players customize their characters by choosing an equipment kit before the start of each mission. In Bad Company 2, four basic kits are available: Assault, Engineer, Recon, and Medic. Each gives the character special abilities and limitations, encouraging squad-mates to support one another and work together as a team. As in earlier Battlefield games, players may commandeer vehicles they find in their missions, including motorcycles, patrol boats, tanks, and Blackhawk helicopters.<br><br>Characters earn experience for killing enemies and accomplishing mission objectives. Experience points can be spent to upgrade the character. Player characters can also collect dog tags from the enemies they take down. In addition to the single-player campaign, the game supports a variety of online multiplayer options, including an assault-style "Rush" mode in which teams take turns defending and attacking crates of valuable cargo.<br><br>The "Ultimate Edition" includes the previously download-only multiplayer title Battlefield 1943, and "Onslaught" mode that send waves of enemies at up to four players, the unlocked extras from Battlefield: Bad Company 2 -- Limited Edition, and VIP downloads.

    Well Thought Out

    Even though this game is several years old. This has to be the best game I've ever played, hands down. Out of all the different Battlefield versions there are, this one seems to be the most well structured in all parameters of a first person shooter. Search Battlefield Bad company 2 in YouTube to get a real grasp of just what makes this particular video game stand out from the others. Try how not to be a noob on Battlefield bad company 2. A worded review can't do this game justice.

    best fps on the market

    this game is above all other first person shooters(fps)on the market. the sniping on this game is incredible. the bullets actually drop do to gravity, which makes a long range headshot one of the best feelings ive had in a video game. there are tankss, 4 wheeelers, jet skies, even hellicopters. and thankfully they are not to over powered and can be both a good assest and also easily destroyed with some good skill. the buildings and enviroment is all destructible. now this doesnt mean everything can be destroyed but most buildings and trees and even the ground can be changed to give you an extra tactical advantage. if your looking for an amazing game, this is the one for you. also look for battle field 3, coming out november 2011. that game is going to be epic.

    AMAZING!

    Great graphics and gameplay. AMAZING sound!!!! If you have a proper surround sound system, then this game will astound you with accurate sounds of war echoing all around you. Mutliplayer is great and much more strategy/team based than Call of Duty. I also have Black Ops, and I prefer this gaming experience over it, although if you prefer being a lone hero or twitch-gaming fragfests, then you will prefer COD over this. Campaign is good... not the best story, but the great firefights, clean graphics, smooth controls and top-notch sounds will definitely keep you at the edge of your seat. If you're a newcomer, then go for a new Ultimate Edition with the VIP and dlc codes. It's worth every penny.

    Awsome product. Great value for the money.

    enjoyed bad company 2 very much. the online was very good for the first week you play. then i feel you must take a break or you will drive your self crazy. it is very dificult to get kills. but once you come back and begin playing again you will realy enjoy it because you are refueled and ready for action. i personally realy enjoyed snipeing. but i was never cheep about it. I NEVER EVER CAMPED!!!!!!!! but all and all i thing bad company 2 is a great game.
