I had a Trendnet AC1750 Dual Band Wireless Router (TEW-812DRU) that I ordered, pre-release based on some tech review, after years of experience with fussy D-Link and Netgear routers. It worked flawlessly for about five years until lightning whipped out the whole system. Desided to go with Spectrum provided Arris 1682 at $10/mo. It was pretty good but weak in my small block house in central florida and it is huge and ugly. After weeks of research I ordered Rev v1.0R because the Rev v2.0R deleted some features. Well I did not receive the Rev v1.0R...they sent the Rev v2.0R. Oh well. It performs great. I had one initial setup problemand two device issues that Trendnet support resolved. The set up issue was unzipping a firmware update file, my bad. The two devices where the Amazon Alexa Dot, gen 2 and my iPhone 6s+ would not connect automatically. Six devices including phones, TVs and printers conneted through WPS. I kept trying to use the routers password instead of the " WiFi password." Never knew the difference. All is well that ends wellRead full review

My signal has never been better. I don't know if that's because of the 5 GHz band or the ac signal or the MiMo but the combination means I'm finally getting nearly every drop of my Ethernet speed in my wifi. And my hardware is a room over from this router so that's saying a bit.

I use wifi for my television service (ROKO) and was having intermittent connection problems (ie; "loading"). I was advised to purchase a more expensive and powerful router. So I purchased TrendNet. It has not performed as recommended. It is doing the same things my cheaper router was doing.
