If you've got more then one computer reasonably close to each other this switch will do the trick. The ability to use a monitor is limited to VGA on this unit, though I'm sure they make other models for DVI as well. NOTE: I've found if using the VGA, a software shutdown before switching is not enough, you have to physically shut the power down on the computer not used, before turning on the other computer or the monitor might not sync.

A pretty basic DVM switch, but it works quite well. You need a USB keyboard and mouse for this unit to function. A printer port would have been nice, but alas, not on this model. So, you will need a wireless printer. I like that it switches via keyboard command. All in all, a good little unit.

works 99% of the time. sometimes once a day or so doesn't switch. or computer that's connected to the second set of cables doesn't recognize mouse or keyboard. after unplugging/re-plugging USB it works again.

Works perfectly with no setup required. I have used many variations of products for KVM switching, and this is the easiest to use if you only have 2 sources. Don't recommend the 4 source model.

Ebay supplier was fast and accurate on offer. IOGear KVM worked as expected. It replaced a previous version that didn't work with higher rez monitors.
