    Outside of the AMD chips still having the exposed pins which are SO easy to bend the processor(s) perform just like they always have...very well and very reliably.

    Fast, overclockable, cool with stock HS, upgrade path, good price for perf

    A motherboard BIOS flash was required in order for the ASUS 990FX MB to recognize it. Once that small items was out of the way, the install from physically adding the cpu, stock cooler and Windows 7 Pro went exceedingly well. This processor is very fast compared to the previous quad-core installed in the motherboard. It is understood this CPU will compare to the Sandy-Bridge from Intel, but based solely on its own merits, I am more than happy with its speed and ability to run my in my system in a manner that (from all the "flat" media reading) exceeds my expectations. It runs all the applications and games I ask it to and better than the previous set-up I was running. It also provides an upgrade path to move up to 6 and 8 core CPUs that are even faster. Works very well in ASUS 990FX ...

    The AMD FX-4100 was a great buy because of its power and affordability.

    I bought an AMD FX-4100 because my then-current AMD Athlon II X2 was getting old and was not fast enough for my increasing demand of processing power. I like that the clock speed is much higher than my previous CPU, and it has twice as many cores, which means much better multitasking. I do not dislike anything about it. This AMD CPU is very comparable and more powerful than an equally-priced CPU from Intel. It's not the most powerful CPU from AMD, but it is very fast and does well to fit my needs.

    The Bulldozer lives up to It's name !

    Price per Quality, this CPU moves to the head of the class !! While simply clockable, you still get the cool run without unnecessary expensive water cooling devices or expensive fan and heatsinks !! Many AM3 boards are now accomodating this AM3+ CPU and I feel in the future, the both will be cross referenced for a high performance fit for both boards...This unit is 100% stable in an Overclocked mode and always runs cool.... Dont expect a 7.9 on the Windows Index Experience though, their politics are set up for Intel being it is overrated and too expensive for the working class....Leave the Index out of your choices, it is only there for you to drain your wallet trying to acheive a Perfect Score !!

    Great Product, have built over 50 gaming p.c.'s utilizing this C.P.U.

    Great CPU for Gaming--Modern games do not utilize more than 4 cores, most even only 2 cores of a cpu, so there is no reason to buy expensive 6 and 8 core cpu's if you only plan on gaming! This is a great, unlocked and very over-clockable processor, and it performs great when paired with a good graphics card--When your looking for a cpu for you new gaming p.c. build, save some money and buy the AMD FX 4100-and sink the extra money you save into a better graphics card and I promise you will end up with a better performing rig!
