On my last business trip, I purchased the Visioneer RoadWarrior to help with the documentation of papers and photos. I was not expecting the scanner to work as fast and well as it did. Even in a six hour straight usage period, the scanner performed wonderfully. This scanner has allowed me to collect a large amount of information that I can take my time to analyze once I return from a trip. The documents are very readable, the photos very clear, and I was able to turn in all of my receipts this trip (no lost ones anymore). I am most likely going to buy another one of these scanners for the office. I have sung this scanners benefits to all of my friends and coworkers. You cannot make a mistake in purchasing this item, if you need a portable scanner that you can depend on. The only negative would be if you paper is not all the way in the scanner when it starts, you may get a blank page or a partial copy. To prevent this, you can go into the setup and increase the amount of time before the scanner starts its automatic feed cycle. This will allow you to make sure that the page is all the way inserted into the scanner and aligned straight. I would highly recommend this scanner.Read full review
Even though I have a high-speed Fujitsu scanner, I wanted a small, portable scanner to scan items when I'm not near the Fujitsu. The RoadWarrior performs very well for that purpose. Setup was very easy and completed with no problems. I like the fact that OneTouch appears on the task bar as soon as I plug it in, and I'm ready to scan. When I unplug the scanner, OneTouch goes away just as quickly. Very quick, very simple. I had Paperport already installed on my Win XP system, and once the drivers were installed for this scanner, the program recognized it immediately, and I was ready to scan. It is not the fastest scanner in the world, but its speed is certainly adequate. I use it mostly for black-and-white scans, and the quality is adequate. Sadly, it doesn't compare to a similar very old Visioneer/Paperport, serial port, black and white, sheet-feed scanner I owned many years ago that was lightning fast and produced better quality scans. However, given what is available, I find this scanner is among the best.Read full review
I bought this as is but it worked out of the case once I downloaded the software. I am a road warrior and this does more than I expected trips to staples to scan and down to the hotel lobby have stopped. make life totally simpler. Not a picture scanner but for text like I use it it is great better than any local fax machine crisp clear copies and pdf scans. I am now looking for a second for my assistant

This is an excellent scanner for travel. Very small and lightweight. It fits easily into a business laptop travel bag. Scan quality and speed are very good for this class of scanner. I use on receipts, contracts, and other business docs. I haven't tried it with photos, but I wouldn't expect it to be great - this is NOT intended to be a flatbed or photo scanner replacement. It powers from a USB port, so no wall wart is needed. My unit came without the carrying bag (the eBay seller couldn't find it). I'm considering one of those fabric bags that come with those collapsible umbrellas. I'm very happy with the product. I believe it's one of the smallest and lightest, and I've owned one of the original Visioneer portable scanners and it worked for many years. In fact, the only reason I'm not still using it is because I upgraded to Win7 and they don't make a driver for it anymore.Read full review
It is portable, I can take it to my Notary Signing Agent jobs and know that I will be providing the title companies with quality scan backs.
