I got this to repair a workstation at my job. I wanted a professional-grade board since it gets used a lot, and this one fit the bill. I like Asus products, and have built PC's with them before with good results. On a note, the first board I bought broke (was the B85G-R2.0) so I got this one. It's designed with hard-constant use in mind and has more features than the standard B85M-G R2.0 board. It adds another PCIe slot and PCI legacy slot. There's also a display port to go with the DVI-D, VGA, and HDMI so you can run 3 monitors natively. It has 4 DIMM slots, and takes 32 GB of DDR3 1600 MHz RAM. It's B85, so that means it runs Haswell Intel processors only. On the I/O, you get 4 USB 2.0, 2 USB 3.0, PS/2, DVI-D, VGA, HDMI, display port, gigabit Ethernet, and 5/1 channel audio. On the inside there's a serial/RS-232 header, Parallel header, 4 additional USB headers, a USB 3.0 header, 3 fan headers (CPU, 2 chassis), and analog/digital audio header. One of the fan headers is positioned by the main ATX connector to be close to the front of the case so you can run a front case fan. Asus includes a nice software suite and the UEFI BIOS is really nice and customizable. Yes, you can do limited overclocking on unlocked processors on this board with the BIOS update as well. Overall a really nice budget board for under $100. So far, no issues, other than the front USB 3.0 ports on the PC case don't work for some reason. My only complaints are the lack of an M.2 SATA socket, and a mini PCIe socket for a WiFi adapter or other expansion card.Read full review
