    Fantastic machine to have

    Bought this for hubbie. He loves Archos Media Players. He already has one like this and that was why he wanted another one. Nothing wrong with the one he had, he likes to have one to record of the tv while watching the other one. These record programmes from the tv, and the quality of sound and vision is perfect. There are lots of other things it does, like downloading music etc. It's a brilliant machine to have, especially for taking on holiday. Download a few films on it and you have something for a rainy day!!!

    Archos 705 Wifi and turning it into an eReader

    I did own (and still do) an Archos 504 media player which is a very good balance between watchability and portability. I am now mostly confined to bed through disability, and thought that the larger screen of the 705 and web browsing capability would be a bonus for me. The most important thing for me though was that the screen size was on a par, or larger than most eReaders. I knew that the Archos PDF reader on the 504 was dreadfully slow, but I assumed that the PDF reader must have improved by now. I was mistaken it was still the same. All is not lost however, I got hold of a program (Smart PDF Converter Pro) which will convert PDF books to jpg images, which the Archos will read instantly. The thing to do when you have the jpg images of your book is to select them all in the windows ...

    Amazing little device

    7in touch screen and web browsing. high def screen so no matter how small the ratio might be still looks clear. bought it for a plane trip to cyprus

    mistake

    this product has never worked from the date of purchase.I have looked it up on the internet and it confirmed to me it,s unreliability.sorry i got involved,huge mistake.
