The Momentus Thin has a spindle speed of 7200 RPM with a buffer cache of 16 megabytes and a SATA 3 GB/s NCO connectivity. A Fluid Dynamic Bearing motor increases the speed at which the computer can access data while reducing the likelihood of the device sustaining damage.The 3D defense system increases the reliability of these accessories by absorbing internal shock, keeping your data secure while you are on the go. To increase storage density, these devices use perpendicular magnetic recording, allowing the disk to store bits more closely together. The Momentus uses Seagate Secure to allow you to encrypt your drive securely, quickly, and easily. These devices are also bundled with free Seagate SeaTools software.
