I was trying to build a budget PC from scratch so I went cheap where I could. Ended up with a used used i5 2500K 3.3GHz and a new GTX 1060 (didn't skimp here) running on this board for about $700 altogether. Runs every game I've tried on max settings 1080p for a month now, no problems! This old (5 years?) processor is still a beast and runs great on this board, which has total overclocking capabilities and can run 1600 MHz memory even though it's not standard for it. Board came in good packaging, was like-new condition and had protective cover over socket pins. I also like how it looks. This shipped free-er and faster than most of the stuff I bought on Newegg, I was surprised.

Had a bit of an issue getting it to POST at first, but after re-seating the CPU it booted no problem. Had to reset the CMOS for overclocking settings to work. It's a lot smaller than I expected, I'm used to my full ATX mobos. Packing was good and arrived fairly quickly. Did NOT come with CPU socket cover as was advertised, but luckily no pins were bent or damaged. I was glad I could still find a decent 1155 mobo that didn't have to be shipped from China.

I got this board 'cuz my old one was a Micro and couldn't handle SLI. With this board- I'm using an i5-3570k, 8gbs 1333 RAM, 2x 1TB 7200rpm Seagate HDDs, 750w PSU 80+brns, and SLI GTX 970s. The model a bit old (2011 I think) but it supports pretty much everything you might need. It can handle 3-way SLI (8x, 8x, and 4x) has plenty of sata ports, fits 1155 CPUs, and even comes with a power and reset switch- so it's good for a test bench too. Haven't had any issues, solid board. And the lack of an I/O shield doesn't bother me, personally. For how much I payed, happy with what I got.

Cant get the BIOS to update but at least it works with my old Intel Sandy Bridge 2600 K CPU and old DDR3 RAM.

This is a GREAT All-Around Board. I got the board for my daughter's new build, paired it up with the i7 2700k and this thing flys! What a great complement to the HafX 942 gaming case. I also went with Gskill Ripjaws 2133 ram at 11-11-11-30,put a slight overclock on it to 4.0Ghz which was so easy, with the newer bios interface, a monkey could do it! My kid LOVES the Bluetooth feature! She has a smartphone so it's SUPER easy for her to transfer Pictures from her phone to her PC and just print them off from there..for what amounts to a photomat in her own room! This thing also handles like a true gamming board! If I wasn't so happy with my Sabertooth board, I'd get one of these for myself! You can almost never go wrong with ASUS..they usually make good solid products! Have a great Day!! -BlakeRead full review
