I bought the Original same camera couple years ago and we just got use to its features. we like the fact that it is enough Megapixels to take clear pictures and record clear videos even in a low light area with clear sounds. i have used other samsungs and other brand cameras even the thinnest model and nothing compares to the Samsung s730. it might be little bit thicker but for the price and quality you cant go wrong. first camera we had kids broke the screen, second-got stolen, third- wife spilled coffee on it, fourth-got stolen. And the stories keeps coming.
Tried out the camera at a family wedding. The quality of the pictures is excellent. The settings are relatively easy to figure out. The only negative thing I noticed was that the batteries don't last very long, so make sure you have plenty of them when you go out to take pictures.
My husband used it this past weekend at a concert. We were both pleasantly surprised at the quailty of the color. The ease of operating and it's small size is very easy to carry. So far we are very pleased with camera.
I purchased this camera to replace my old S730 because someone dropped it and the lens broke. It wouldn't extend retract when shut off or turned on and was basically useless. I like it because even though most of the new cameras have 14 megapixels and above, for my use and needs, it does a decent job, plus the features such as movie capture with sound, onboard picture effects, and overall ease of use makes it a good bargain. The only downside is that the screen on the back, as per the description, has a small crazy crack much like you would find on a car windshield. It doesn't come out on the actual photo though, and doesn't detract from the usability of it. I would buy another one if I cold find one that is in a little better shape (gently used).
Camera works perfectly. I thought the zoom would be better. Most items have to be taken from a distant shot, up close images are a no go and come out blurry, flash needs to be turned off in other light sources. Had no memory card and no batteries, which made the cost go up $16, for a grand total of $38. Camera is very outdated for the price I paid for it considering retail stores, like Big Lots, have digital cameras with 8gb of memory for less then $20
