About this product

Product Information

A sequel to 2009's hit game Dragon Age, Dragon Age II shadows the ascent of Hawke, an impoverished refugee, to celebrity warrior status. Haunted by the desecration of his former life, Hawke partners with an assortment of unique characters to defeat the darkspawn who destroyed his former home. The main setting for this story is the region of Kirkwall. Kirkwell is a mysterious land ensconced between mountains and is haven to corrupt politicians, ghost towns, and odd creatures. Choose how Hawke gains celebrity and wealth by making his battles either heroic or ruthless acts of revenge as either a mage, rogue, or a warrior. Dragon Age II's notable storyline uses a frame narrative structure in which a narrator recounts Hawke's achievements second-hand. As in the original Dragon Age, Hawke's companions can talk to each other as friends or possible lovers. Combat techniques differ from the original Dragon Age, such as a novel viewing style that enhances the RPG's view and added battle techniques.

The halo edition Xbox series x came well packaged and arrived earlier than I expected. Only problem I had was the controller had drift on the right analog stick. Notified the seller, and he gave me a refund to cover the repairs/ new controller. Would not hesitate to buy again from this seller.

    Love!

Not as good as the first or the third game, but it is good! It’s an in between type of game. It’s a set up for later games rather then it’s own standing fame. Still important and fun to play.

  • not like the original

Dragon Age 2 is not Dragon Age. It seems like an obvious truism, but given the backlash Bioware's sequel has suffered.in doing something so dramatically different, Bioware has inadvertently given other developers and publishers all the reason in the world to keep their top franchises safe and stale.Where the original game had locations all over an entire nation to explore and slaughter, Dragon Age 2 focuses in on a single city. There's nothing wrong with this — indeed, urban fantasy is a genre long underdeveloped in video games, and Bioware was brave to take a crack at it with a very valuable IP. In the main, it works — the city of Kirkwall is vibrant with plenty of intrigue. There are enough plot twists and turns to keep driving you through the story, and the side stories are an ...

  • Worth playing, but only for about seven bucks.

Honesty is the best policy, and honestly the only reason I ever bought this game was to romance Anders. That being said, the story isn't an epic - but it is still enjoyable. The combat system isn't the worst I've ever played but it is far from the best as well. The scene settings are dull and repetitive and the game itself is glitchy as all get out. There will be several missions made completely unplayable by glitches, but for me it didn't impede the main story line so it wasn't a huge issue. What really makes this game worth playing is your party members and the dlc. The characters, most particularly your party members, are interesting and have really fantastic interactions both among themselves and with the PC. The dlc made for this game is easily some of the best dlc Bioware has made, ...

  • 2 things I would fix with this game. But is a very good game otherwise.

Almost Perfect RPG. Improved gameplay from Dragon Age 1. Story gets old and you cant skip over some of the story so thats bad. Loading time.. the Loading time is awful in this game.. all done on a Map screen.. Expect to spend many hours Waiting for the game to LOAD. If they could fix this Loading time issue it would be a great game. I do recommend this.. but you will get angry at the Loading time.. and the boring story that you cant skip over..

  • Engaging, Highly Entertaining & Ridiculously Addicting.

A few friends of mine would simply not stop talking about this game series, so I finally decided to take the plunge and try it out for myself. I can now say I'm honestly VERY happy I did. The choice-based system of story progression and development of your character reminded me a lot of the choose your own adventure books I used to read as a kid. I really enjoyed the characters in this installment. There's a wide variety of romance-able characters and regular companion characters to work with, all with their own unique stories to tell and oodles of side quests to keep you busy. Some are more fleshed out than others, but they all seem to have a lot of care put into their writing (particularly Fenris and Varric). The story was full and engaging detailing your journey from penniless refuge ...
