About this product

Product Information

TP-LINK s TL-WDR3500 is a performance optimized simultaneous dual band wireless router combining the blazing fast speeds of 300Mbps using the crystal clear 5GHz band and 300Mbps using the traditional 2.4GHz band. With simultaneous dual band, users have 600Mbps of total bandwidth to power numerous bandwidth intensive applications at the same time around a large home or office setting, where simple tasks such as e-mail or web browsing can be handled by the 2.4GHz band at 300Mbps and more latency sensitive tasks such as online gaming or HD video streaming can be processed over the 5GHz band at 300Mbps, at the same time, with USB 2.0 port capable of sharing flash storage, printers, ftp servers and media players, users can power a robust home media network.

    Blazing fast for the price!

if your looking for a wireless router for the home this WDR-3500 is awesome, it took only moments to hookup using the quick install disc it comes with..once connected and located in my network I was pleasantly surprised at its blazing speed..I couldn't be any happier with this product for the low price paid for it.

    Worst Router

First you have fast 5ghz wireless but are limited to a 10/100 WAN port. So with my 150Mbit internet attached to this modern I could obtain about 50Mbit wired and about 30 on the 5ghz band. Don't buy these routers if you have 50+ megabit internet.

  • Does not provide the ammount of wireless area coverage you want.

I bought and have this router operating. Since this purchase I've received a lot info on wireless routers from TP-Link techs. I'm now an educated " I made the wrong purchase ". I Spent a lot of time talking about the 3500 is not what is advertised. However, it is better then "Net Gear" at the same price. Main issue is area coverage. LP-Link is an excellent product but the 3500 is not the way to go. The 3600,3700 and the 3800 are. And that is without purchasing " extenders ". I learned the hard way by experimenting with extenders. And wound up with a TP-Link AV500 300Mbps Wi-Fi POWERLINE Range Extender. WOW this thing works Amazing, I mean amazing. It's not as simple,as advertised, to set up, but the friendly techs at TP-LINK helped me and make it easy. Good Luck!

  • This router is ok just not what i expected

It works fine and seems to have goid signal strength, i wanted a dual channel router because i thought it would help with the bottleneck of so many people using the internet at the same time, it does not help because very few devices are compatible with 5ghz frequency. So that channel sits unused and everything still go through the 2.4ghz channel. That being said the 2.4 ghz channel works just as good as any other router. And the price was decent so i can't complain too much.

  • Nice AP

I'm using the C7 strictly as a dual band AP where it is working well. The range is quite good on both 2.4 and 5.8Ghz bands. What is interesting is that the adjustable, external antennas on the C7 are only used in the 5.8Ghz band. The enclosure is quite large but this is not a problem in my installation where it is wall mounted inside of a closet.
