    Excellent motherboard that is a bargain considering this one came with a cpu and cpu fan. Together the completed system is fast, runs the latest operating systems and has expansion slots for all my gpu and iOS needs

    it is a enthusiast motherboard, and you should know what youre doing..

    works as designed. attention should be paid to the type of CPU to be used, as the factory/manufacturer (Gigabyte) ships with a BIOS revision that does not support the 22nm (Ivy Bridge) i3/i5/i7 CPU's. you there fore must intend on using the earlier "Sandy bridge" (2xxx series - ie i5-2500 or 1st generation i-cores) i3/i5/i7 or have access to one in order to flash to the newer BIOS so you can use an Ivy Bridge CPU (3xxx series- ie i5 - 3570). FYI the BIOS revision needed to use Ivy bridge is F18. my board came with revision F10, so i had to purchase a cheap Celeron "sandy bridge" CPU locally for $29.00 in order to flash to the newer revision and use my i7-3770k. i was aware of this might be an issue before hand though, and did not mind the extra purchase.
