This motherboard arrived literally weeks ahead of time and I really appreciate the timeliness of the shipping. The board arrived in perfect condition and included documentation of its testing.     Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 SLALT 2.6Ghz CPU

    I have been using a much slower C2D E4300 and it worked very well for an old Vista system which was surprising considering it was only 1.80Ghz. The C2D E4700 beats it stupid, and I'm very happy with the jump in performance! I suppose as Intel chips go it's the top of the line up in C2D 800fsb processors. All this on a 800fsb board with Windows 7 64 bit (supported). It still has a maximum allowed memory at 2Gb by the board. 4Gb works but only alloweable to around 3.72Gb. I'd like to have 2 sticks of 4Gb running dual channel for the Windows 7 but it's a vintage or antique as PCs go being a 2006 and not worth anymore upgrading. Decidedly worth the swap to the C2D E4700.

    E4700 is good choice to upgrade your old Celeron PC

    My father's PC had a Celeron 352 CPU. It worked on high CPU usage and my father called me often: "Please do something, this machine is wery slow!" I performed some activity: increased the RAM to the maximum supported 2 GB... Partially solved the issue, but not comletely :-( Then XP support has ended, and he worried and asked me to by and anstall Win7 on this PC. So this was the reason I had to do someting. I have checked the supported CPU list on motherboarh handbook, checked the prices on eBay. E4700 was good choice, the PC works on acceptable performance with Win7 home. So I really recommend E4700, when you want upgrade your Celeron PC cheaply.

    Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 2.6 GHz Processor

    The Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 2.6 GHz Processor is an older CPU compared to today's 4x and 6x core CPU's but this processor still packs a punch at 2.6 GHz and easily run's most apps like Corel Draw X5, Adobe Illustrator CS 4 and most games. For me this was an upgrade from a single core Intel processor that my Asus main-board was able to accept with just a simple Bios flash. I built this computer and it is starting to show its age, but I like to get every dime I put into my computers so a CPU upgrade was a good choice. It brought new life into my older system and I am very happy with the CPU upgrade.

    Обновила старый компьютер

    Мой компьютер старенький, от 2005 года, на него не могла купить новый процессор, посильнее. Нашли в Китае Заказала , выслали очень быстро ( можно сказать моментально, через час после заказа уже стоял номер отправления) Получила через 2 недели. Установили на комп, теперь он работает намного быстрее. Заказала еще и память, буду обновлять до конца.
