  • An excellent soc 775 dual core cpu. Hard working, proven solid.

The Core2Duo e6550, e6750, and e6850 are still some of my favorite CPU's. For cost effective performance operating windows 7, these are good alternative and cost far less than thier more modern dual core counterparts without sacrificing speed. For a desktop or multimedia machine these are an excellent soulution to not breaking your bank and the 2.66 e6750 falls right in the middle. Upon writing this one can be picked up for around 75usd on ebay. This cpu's advantage lies in it's 1333fsb. Crunch all the numbers you want, but if you can't pipe it to where it needs to be fast enough you might as well be tossing money on fancy math. There are a lot of 800fsb cpus out there clocking higher ghz cycles, but the data highway does make a difference in this one. Notice that is around a 50% increase ...

  • E6750 is good CPU for upgrading a slow computer using a LGA775 motherboard.

Intel E6750 cpu, for the price of under 7 dollars is just what the doctor ordered. This cpu and 2 others just like it are being used in Qty 3, HP IPIBL-LB motherboards for the computer systems that I have rebuilt. Next to the Intel E8400, E8500 or E8600 the E6750 is the next best cpu for the money. The E6750 is a 65 watt CPU requiring the cheapest Intel cooling heat sinks. I have noticed that this cpu might be used in some Apple computers also, I almost think that is why Intel made this off the wall chip. HP does not list the E6750 as a cpu that can be used in the IPIBL-LB motherboard, it stops short at the E6700. I bought one chip for $6.49 just to see if would work, it worked great, so I bought 2 more each for $6.75 shipping included on eBay. These cpu"s are not being used for gaming, ...

  • Intel E6750 is an awsome mid level CPU

The cpu works in the dell Inspiron 530s and does well with the stock heatsink. I upgraded from a E4300 and I noticed a 10fps increase while playing Battlefield Bad Company 2. BFBC2 is cpu heavy and i would reccommend this cpu to anyone who wants a great mid-level cpu at an affordable price. It runs right at 35C idle and runs about 50C during load. The load Temp could be greatly decreased if I shelled out the duckets for a good heatsink/fan. I currently have the stock heatsink for the E4300 in A inspiron 530s. Great cpu for overclocking!! Has been overcloacked to around 3.8GHz, but dell mobos will not let you overclock so not an option if you have a dell. :-( Notes: If you are upgrading your cpu and are thinking about upgrading your ram, and you have ddr2, stay with ddr2. The E6750 ...

  • 2 cores for half the price

first off let me say getting any intel product doesn't come cheap. especially higher end products. let's take a look at this model. "Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6750 (4M Cache, 2.66 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB) and lets look at the e6550 model- Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6550 (4M Cache, 2.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB"(intel.com) the only difference is clock speed and the e6750 gains a +1 to its Bus/core ratio. anyone looking to update there old 775 p4,celeron D, or the dual core Celeron D, don't look any further if your on a tight budget. the e6550 sells currently 175 through tigerdirect.com that i know of, but with some luck you can get the e6750 on ebay between 80-90 dollars. plain and simple you save about $80-$100 through ebay. thats 80-100 you can put to other uses...say upgrading the ram or the ...

  • Still Got Some Punch

These Core 2 Duo CPU'S are a couple years old,but they still hold there own against some of my newer quad core cpu's,if you want a bargain with some kick in it get one of these baby's its tough and a good overclocker also, dont get me wrong new tech is good also, but to be honest I have wasted a lot of green on new stuff that did'nt live up to the hipe! Many a time I have been disappointed by getting caught up in new fads when it came to my pc, rule of thumb is to game get a decent cpu and a killer video card,to encode video get a better cpu and more memory and so on! Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!
