Product Information

Konami returns to its rhythmic roots with Rock Revolution, a music game modeled after Rock Band and Guitar Hero: World Tour. Rock Revolution features four ways to make music: drums, guitar, bass, and vocals. While playing an instrument, the goal is to follow onscreen visual cues while tapping or strumming on the supported drum and guitar peripherals. Vocals involve singing into a microphone in a manner similar to the publisher's Karaoke Revolution series. The disc features 40 songs with an option to download additional content (either individual songs or song packs) online. <br><br>Artists include Judas Priest, Kiss, Quiet Riot, Metallica, Megadeth, Heart, Ratt, Queen, Rush, the Who, Foo Fighters, and more. Choose from 15 characters and follow a career or challenge others online. The game's "Studio Mode" is notable for allowing you to freely create songs and record your performance on up to eight tracks. Throughout your career, you'll be able to compete in various challenges, create custom set lists, and learn new techniques to master more complicated songs. Online users will be able to display their talents to rest of the Rock Revolution community via real-time scoreboards.

    Good game but it's ALL covers

    The playability is somewhat weird. The timing always seems a little off and you must be a lot more accurate than Rock Band or GH. The flat firgerboard on the screen is a bad decision too; it's harder to antecipate the notes that era coming. But once you get used to it, you can master it and have fun. The venues graphics are nice, all big venues (you don't have to start playing in clubs or sh*tholes); the characters are more realistic than the other games, although you can't customize them in any way. The repertoire is BEST of all games this type, but it's ALL made of covers - some songs sound very like the originals, others not so much. Which is the most letdown of this game; if you beat all the notes you feel like you're in some kind of tribute band, not the artist himself.

    Rock Revolution PS3

    After reviewing the games that are compatabile with Guitar Hero World Tour & Rock Band, this is a great add-on! You will not waste your money on this game. Go for it & you will not regret it. Yes PS3 has made mistakes with American Idol, Encore, & Encore 2, however, this is a grand slam!!!!!

    cheap price pays off

    for the money you cant beat this game. most are around 5 dollars compared to 60 for guitar hero or rock band. i would say it is challenging and the songs where you have to memorize notes then play them back are especailly difficult but fun. the songs choice is great in my opinion.
