fixes the problem for a lot less
This is needed if your printer is leaving 'ghost' images about every 2-5/8". It is much cheaper than buying a whole new fuser unit. BUT - it is NOT a simple install. Look on YouTube, for "Brother advanced Part 3 mfc9340 mfc9330 9140 fuser roller replacement " and related instructions. The scary part is pulling the old roller off the halogen lamp and putting this one on without breaking the lamp, and then bending the tabs to lock it in place But if you are quite handy with machinery, this is a great buy! I cannot comment on its longevity, but working fine after a month.This is needed if your printer is leaving 'ghost' images about every 2-5/8". It is much cheaper than buying a whole new fuser unit. Unfortunately not good enough
Had no problem installing it. From the looks of it I already knew it was a very cheaply made part but I went ahead and tried it. It prints okay all black pages but color is simply terrible. It also overheats after two prints so you have to wait for the matching to cool down. The only positive I have to say is that it was cheap and well as the saying goes , you get what you pay for.

Fuser Roller Install in Brother MFC-9340CDW
The install in the fuser unit was a little daunting but the new roller went in OK. I haven't used it a whole lot since its install but it is printing as the old one did before it malfunctioned and became delaminated.. Just so you know, when you first use it you will get a hot plastic smell like you did when your printer was new. That went away after the first use. Only time will tell if the roller measures up to the OEM roller but the OEM roller only lasted about 14 months and around 800-900 pages. I would have expected more life from the OEM roller. If you tackle this job my recommendation is to take good quality pictures as you take the unit appart, keep up with what screws go where as they are different sizes and lengeths and be EXTREMELY careful of the 10 inch long bulb, DO NOT touch ... The install in the fuser unit was a little daunting but the new roller went in OK. I'll Have to See....
The old roller was definitely scrogged so I needed this replacement. Good price, relatively quick delivery from US to CND. But I can't really comment on the quality as there are other fuser unit pieces that now appear damaged so I'll have to order an entire replacement fuser unit. Will keep this roller for backup.
