When I replaced this fan the first time, there were multiple $15-ish options on "a hyper-popular online shopping site" to select from that appeared, visually, to be acceptable alternatives - same shape, size, specs, and connectors. However, the one I selected did not have the same CPU / GPU temperature-regulated off / low-speed / high speed operation as the original. Net result: the fan ran on high-speed ALL the time, and a very noisy high speed it was indeed. After 6 months of this constant droning, I went in search of a better option and found THIS fan, which appeared to be new / unused / unblemished but had been pulled from an identical Lenovo laptop model (with gratitude to the seller for that bit of uncommon honesty). The new fan was twice the price of the one it replaced (hence the "not the best value" rating), but it now runs at barely a whisper and speeds up / slows down based on CPU / GPU workload like it's suppose to, and serves as yet another example of "you get what you pay for".
