    Bad product! Seems to be an issue with WDs 400GB series.

    I got a bad drive from a shady seller. The HP M213 I was putting it in wouldnt recognize the drive. Kept getting operating system not found error message. Put it in my data backup tower and it recognized the drive and I got windows on it, but when I tried the Western Digital Drive utility, it didnt recognize the drive. About 3 hours later. Dead! Don't buy this drive, and when you get one, get it from Newegg ... where they take care of their customers.

    works very good

    This hard drive is working very nice, has windows 7 on it. I have it on a ide to sata adapter, working just fine. This is the second hard drive in a different computer it also has windows 7 on it. I have two of these hard drive now in two different computers, both with windows 7 on them

    Good hard drive, dependable

    Works very well as most Western Digital drives do. No problems whatsoever with it. I have used Western Digital many times and never had a problem with them.

    Must have

    I bought this drive, cas my old ATA drive crashed, so i decided to go look in ebay for cheap used working drives. And i found this one. Searched in the internet for info and it looked good for my needs and price. It's incredible performance is beyond my understanding. Things that i don't like? Wierd noises when turning on and off.
