I had Ubuntu on an 80GB Samsung boot drive for my Dell Precision T7400. Without thinking about the manufacturer difference, I ordered this drive. After Backing up my Samsung drive with Acronis, using sector by sector backup, I restored to this Samsung drive, also using sector by sector restore. Fearing the worst, I booted with this Western Digital drive. I need not have been concerned; this Western Digital drive booted up flawlessly. I now have two Ubuntu boot hard disks. Happy me!

Great deal for the price, and it gives you a bit of storage that is not breaking your piggy bank. I use it in my machine for all my driver and user manual downloads. Buy them while they last.

I bought a used 160GB hard drive for $16. Ebay is nagging me to review it. Here it goes. It worked. Old computer is up and running. Enjoy the review.
80GB isnt much data at all these days....but for the cheap price often found on this drive, it is very hard to argue the price and performance of putting two of these little drives together in a RAID 0 setup in a small HTPC or something similar. Great buy :)
