sabrent ftdi rs232 to usb adapter
after dealing with prolific usb adapters with Mac Os and windows 10 and their denial of verified drivers and windows need to update to drivers that just don't work i gave up on prolific it was either downgrade my OS' or upgrade the serial adapters. i didn't have to install a driver, no conflicts with other drivers and when i plug it in or switch ports everything just works, compared to prolific that says it is installed but does nothing or can not start. i finally have control over my telescope mounts and other rs232 based com devices. it is more expensive than the prolific adapters but the fact it works every time without modifying the OS makes it worth every penny.

Just what I needed for using a vintage serial mouse on modern PCs
This is a great, high-quality product for those who still have vintage/obsolete computer peripherals (or just want to buy them just for old school purposes) on modern PCs, like my Windows 10 Home computer. I used it for a rare children's Hot Wheels car mouse included with the 1990s Hot Wheels PC game, "Hot Wheels Custom Car Designer CD-ROM." I installed all the correct drivers for both this device and the Hot Wheels mouse on Windows 10, and everything worked just great! I absolutely recommend this Sabrent product!
