Product Information

Fracture is a futuristic first-person shooter whose "hook" is being able to freely transform the landscape with your weapons. In the year 2161, the continental United States is divided after a seismic event topples the country's central region. The government is no longer in power, so organizations on both sides vie for control with the backing of sympathetic nations abroad. The main protagonist is Jet Brody, a soldier fighting on behalf of the Atlantic Alliance. He will confront genetically enhanced troops from the Republic of Pacifica in a series of battles that will take him across what's left of the U.S.<br><br>Rather than simply blast enemy troops throughout each environment, you must also solve puzzles using your high-tech weapons. Barriers blocked with rubble can still be traversed simply by shooting at the ground and creating a subterranean tunnel. High destinations can be reached by shooting at a patch of land to create hills of varying size. In addition to removing and building areas of the landscape, you can also create temporal disturbances such as a mini black hole, which will suck everything near it into its gaping maw. Grenades, missiles, torpedoes, and other high-powered weapons can all be used to manipulate your surroundings in surprising ways.

    :( Wished It Could Have Been More :(

    I bought this game because it was made by Lucas Arts (Jedi Knight & Dark Forces series) & Day 1 Studios (Mech Assault & Mech Warrior). In my opinion, these companies have made some really great games in the past so I thought that this would be a good one too. I also got this game because at the time I paid a great price for it ($25). I wouldn't have paid full price for it & if I had I would've been very disappointed. WHAT I HATED •Weak storyline because it relied too heavily on the great graphics. • Game is your basic military shooter getting you to go after objectives & blast your way through hundreds of enemies until you reach the next checkpoint. •The story lacks originality. It involves “alien-like” creatures who want to take over the Earth or enslave humanity. •The game should have ...

    awesome product to have and play

    This game is very cool and the characters are real close to cool. The main character that was picked is very easy, cool and nice to control. The weapon that the characture has are out of this world and the results are crazy cool. It is awesome that you can change the terrain around you to benefit and help the mission. With every reaction their is always a counter re-action. This game is cool to play and to spend some shoooting time.

    Ground shaking game

    This game includes a new gameplay feature. one of your primary abilities is to raise or decent the ground you stand on. It makes for great cover and disoriantates the enemies. There's also tons of weapons at your disposal and a few times of grenades that also affect the ground. Awesome game!.

    Great game, I was pleasantly surprised

    For the price, I wasn't expecting much. However, the graphics are top notch, it has a decent story line, the selection of weapons are the best of all the games I have played. The game starts slow, and it is hard to learn about all the weapons, but after you get familuar with everything the game gets rolling. One of the longest games I've played, and the best game I've played besides Call of Duty. Plus, the lack of bad langauge was refreshing.

    Great game!

    This game is excellent. There are many weapons to choose from throughout the game. The terrain deformation is great for getting yourself out of trouble. The only negative is the camera angle. Sometimes it can be difficult to obtain the view you want. This is a very minor issue though. This is an extremely fun game!! Definitely worth the money.
