Epic Games' competitive online shooter makes its PlayStation 3 debut with Unreal Tournament 3. Players once again control a futuristic soldier who must battle an assortment of rivals in multiple game modes. The first-person shooter, designed with the developer's celebrated Unreal Engine 3 technology, includes both offline and online support, with the latter featuring both a matchmaking service and a seamless connection to servers. High-powered weapons include the long-range Link Gun and the close-range Bio Rifle, with many returning favorites upgraded with new features. <br><br>Also returning are many of the same characters from previous Unreal Tournament games, each possessing new looks, personalities, and abilities. Standard game types include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and more.     Gears of War game engine

    I remember playing Unreal 2 for the PC and never really got into the Tournament series. This game is fast paced and fun. Gears of War for the Xbox 360 and Turok have both used this beautiful game engine and yet the original is in every way as good. I am giving it a four of five rating for my only gripe, which is that it doesn't have a split screen multiplayer mode. The developers opted for an online multiplayer mode instead. If you can find this game for around $20, do yourself a favor. It is also playable with a keyboard and mouse on the PS3 if you prefer that game control.

    UT3 is Vehicular Manslaughter, Mega Kill, Godlike!!!

    The only reason I gave this game a chance was because I remember playing ut99 almost a decade ago and the experience was great! Now ut3 is to me what it should be. Fast action, good weapon selection, great mod community, and the maps are too unreal! Sure there was a few problems with the game at the release date but thanks to the patches released and the newest one The Titan Patch have fixed and improved on the game more. Not to mention the upcoming patches even bigger than the last. To me it gave this game a super boost. I really recommend this first person shooter game for those who want something less real and more unreal.

    Unreal Tournament III (Playstation 3)

    Ok, well if you have ever played any unreal tournament game then you know how this game operates. its a fast paced, fun, unrealistic shooter. Players compete in a variety of game modes with different objectives using a multitude of weapons and vehicles (when playing in a vehicle mode you get an awesome hover board). There are many many things this game wrong, The bad: 1) It was the same as all the others and didn't do anything memorable. Sadly this is a dying series as with many others. Although its great, people don't want to keep playing revamped versions of old games 2) Sniper rifle controls are very bad because you hold down the left trigger to zoom in and once in partially you cant go in more or go out without completely exiting the scope. 3) The story line was awful.     Great multiplayer shooter

    not really a great story line but awesome if you can play online or have atleast 4 people you can invite over to play. The bots are a good if you're lonely and have no one else to play with and they are really challenging when difficulty is set to godlike. I can only manage to a 1:1 kill death ratio. The only reason it is not rated 5/5 is because the campaign mode really makes no sense and its really just so you learn the basics of the game types and the different weapons and vehicles available. definitely one to have in your library especially because its so cheap.

    Unreal Tournament III

    If you like the computer version or any of the old quake games this is a good choice to satisfy your craving. Main game has an alright story line, lots of 1 on 1 fights. Online is a big death match just like any other unreal or quake game. Still has the super fast running that takes getting used to if you are used to other games. Fun game to play in your spare time or if you are in the mood to go online and fight. There is also some sort of capture the flag game online that is fun as well as vehicles.
