    Brother scanners work best with Adobe Professional.

    I didn't realize this until my neighbor showed me: scanners are software controlled, not by the hardware buttons on the machine/printer. I have Brother MFC scanners which work flawlessly with Adobe Acrobat 6 Professional or Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. (The advantage to 8 Professional is that it has Bates numbering capabilities.) Because of the extended toner and drum life of Brother machines, and, the availability of them on eBay, I have purchased a number of MFCs lasers for home and office. However, for scanning more than 20-25 pages, I use a professional office scanner/copier, i.e a Ricoh. Bob Garber attorney.garber@gmail.com Pittsburgh, PA

    Can handle heavy use. Easy to maintain.

    Great machine. Have used it heavily at home for over four years. Large capacity ink makes it cheap to use. Had a fuser assembly go out in it. But it wasn't that hard to fix. The gear that is on the heated metal roller is made of plastic, and cracked with the heat. I had to fix it. I loved the copier, and had just replaced the rollers. Generic toners and rollers are available, and work great with this copier.

    All In One Multi Purpose Multi Function Laser Printer

    In addition to excellent laser print quality this unit is both a fully functional fax machine and a nice copier. You get all the necessary print fax and copy functions in one package. Highly recommended.

    Good Printer

    This is a nice multi function printer for most office uses. The only thing that I have noticed is that the scanner doesn't work all the time. This is definitely a good buy though if you are not planning on using the scanner.
