When one uses "recycled" software you have to be careful. Automatic updates may cause the software not to work. Upgrading the operating system can cause the application software not to work. I've learned my lesson. I keep one desktop just for the application that work. No updates no upgrades. With this copy of QB I turned off updates. ever install updates. Turn off all the promotions and unused features. If you want all the "bells and whistles;les" buy retail pay the full amount.

When running windows XP, (The reason I purchased this SW) updates are not possible so there are a few problems with QB that has to be discovered to make a work-around, if possible. I don't know how this might work on Win 7 with updates or install ??? On XP have discovered some multiple company management problems. It will have to be checked every time when switching between companies to make sure the company loads with current data.
