Car and driving enthusiasts embark on new automotive adventures across the Mediterranean paradise of Ibiza in Test Drive Unlimited 2. Following the innovative design of the original Test Drive Unlimited, the sequel features a full single-player campaign that can be played offline, but which integrates into a persistent online world, shared with other players. Through mission-based progression, players can develop their characters and expand their car collections for both offline and online play. Players can gain experience points and unlock new missions by competing in races, collecting cars and avatar items, exploring the island, and joining in online activities such as multiplayer races and "car club" guilds.<br><br>The driving adventure plays out over hundreds of miles of open virtual highways and byways in Ibiza, and the sequel also includes new roadways and missions in Oahu, Hawaii, the setting of the original game. Most roads are paved, but players may wish to add a few SUVs to their garages to take on the game's two-track challenges. Test Drive Unlimited 2 features showcase cars from a selection of international manufacturers including Aston Martin, Audi, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Gumpert, Lotus, McLaren, Mercedes, Pagani, and others. Some of the rarest automobile models in the game can only be unlocked by members of an online guild that overcomes special multiplayer challenges.<br><br>As they prove themselves on the road, both off- and online, players unlock faster and more powerful automobiles for their collections. Similarly, in the single-player story mode, gamers can gradually build a virtual empire of luxury living for their customizable avatars, with mansions, yachts, showrooms, and other opulent amenities. Even with these RPG-style elements for ambiance, however, the focus off the game is squarely on the experience of driving the world's most luxurious high-performance automobiles through scenic and sometimes-challenging locations.

    racing is not the only thing done here

    It is a balanced mix of racing style challenges, single player missions and casual, relaxed driving around the island (anyone who liked the relative freedom of games like Driver back in the day will love this game). The game is beautifully and realistically set on the island of Ibiza, but the developers of TDU 2 have generously included a revamped and improved Oahu from the first game in the series. The ability to drive so many different cars – you will love the fact that every car has true to life acceleration, engine noise and handling.•Stunning and realistic graphics – I had never been to Oahu or Ibiza before coming across this game but I certainly wan’t to go there now! •There is always something else to do.     Im glad I bought this game.

    I bought this item because i wanted a new ps3 game and i saw this and it looked interesting. After looking at trailers and more info it seemed really good. You can buy cars and homes and go out shopping in the game. Its like a sims game but only better!! I say its like a sims but only the concept. The controls and game play is nothing like sims. i reccomend this game and hope to keep players happy with this review.

    Real drive

    As the open-world becomes increasingly ubiquitous in this generation, isn’t it about time we actually starting paying attention to the specific types of free-roamable playgrounds developers are offering up in exchange for our precious time? You’ve got the satirical open world, like the GTA series with its twisted take on American consumerism; there’s World Of Warcraft’s chatroom-dressed-up-as-Tolkein; vertiginous climbing frames like InFamous and Crackdown; even grown-up Lego sets in Minecraft (for the creative-types) and Red Faction (for those more inclined towards destruction). Test Drive Unlimited 2, though, goes for an altogether different approach.     Awful graphics, terrible controls, bad game is an understatement.

    Horrible graphics, terrible controls, glitches, Looks like a PS2 game.. awful awful game.. Bad bad story.. dont waste your money on this title.. I baught this for 12 bucks and sold it for 7.. Its not worth 25 cents to me.. it is pure garbage.. Can i give this game a negative 5 stars.?
