It did everyting I wanted it to, but I couldn't get the code for my TV.
The remote control is very basic and it appears it works with many devices. However, it doesn't work for my out dated TV that was made by a not-well-known-brand. I really don't know the brand of my TV, except that the logo is a capitalized letter D. Obviously it works excellent with my sony DVD player, but that is all I use it for. The $6 I paid for it was worth it so I could actually scroll through the menu when playing my DVDs. I tried for an hour to find the code for my TV, but I wish Sony had printed more codes for TVs.The remote control is very basic and it appears it works with many devices. Sony Remote RM-V310
Great remote buttons welll laid oout for ease of use. Only wish thes remotes had more features to make them more universal at least for other Sopny products. Most will also operate a Sony TV but most will not operate a Sony DVD recorder even the ones for the combo players with a buit in VCR will not control a Sony combo DVD recoder with a VCR.
