Improve any computer’s performance by upgrading to the IBM 49Y2003 600 GB 10K RPM SFF internal hard drive with an SAS interface or add it for extra storage or backup space. With a 600 GB HDD, you can save up to 10,000 hours of music, up to 192,000 high resolution, digital pictures, up to 600 hours of digital quality videos, and up to 300 medium size video games. The fast, 10K RPM spindle speed of the quality IBM HDD has an average latency of 2 milliseconds. A new hard drive improves speed and storage, but for better performance, consider a memory upgrade to the system along with the new IBM drive. When you add more memory to a computer, it can complete more tasks at once. For example, run your print server while playing an online game without experiencing any downtime. The 16 MB buffer cache helps reduce lag between searches by holding data. The cache also uses a small amount of the 16 MB to store the drive’s basic commands. With a 2.5-inch Slim-HS form factor, the IBM HDD with an SAS interface will fit perfectly into any laptop. Before disconnecting the battery and taking apart the laptop to install the new or second drive, backup all your data to an external storage device. Even an unexpected jolt can damage a hard disk, causing data to be lost forever. Connect the IBM 49Y2003 10K RPM SFF HDD to the motherboard with the standard 6gbps SAS interface. SAS cables are thinner and less bulky than the SATA drive interface. Find information quickly with a 2.9 millisecond seek time and move it between sectors at a lightning fast external data transfer rate of 600 MB/s. The 6 Gbps is enough speed to transfer information instantaneously. Use the first slot on the motherboard if you’re replacing the current hard drive or the second slot to connect it as a backup or secondary storage device. It’s also suitable for use in hot-swap, non-hot-swap, or simple swap scenarios, and can be used in RAID environments.     High capacity, very good performance, IBM quality [branded].

    I bought a couple of those to add to my existing array of 6 drives. Very happy with the performance, it's the highest capacity you can have in 2.5" SAS format at the current time.
