Originally named End of Eternity, it was changed to Resonance of Fate to avoid conflicting with Isaac Asimov’s book of the same name. Players will become fascinated with the engrossing science fiction story set in the distant future and will face constant challenges to overcome as they face a huge variety of formidable enemies. Resonance of Fate for the PS3 is an excellent choice for enthusiasts of action games and the RPG genre.In Resonance of Fate, players will find themselves in a future dystopia in which life on Earth was nearly wiped out by out-of-control pollution levels. Survivors of the environmental holocaust banded together to build a new civilization based on the air-purifying system called Basel and the core that sustains it, called Zenith. Having escaped the fate of extinction, humanity develops another class-based society ruled by a group called the Cardinals. Within this setting, players will be role-playing through three main characters: Zephyr, Leanne, and Vashyron. This trio of paramilitary figures makes a living by taking odd jobs around the Basel metropolis. As time progresses, they begin to uncover an ominous conspiracy in which the Cardinals seek to subvert the control of Zenith and seize power for themselves. It’s up to the player to thwart these nefarious plans and discover the truth behind the history of Zephyr, Leanne, and Vashyron.Players are engaged against each enemy through turn-based battle sequences. The main characters will face myriad enemies, such as errant robots and malicious, hulking creatures. Instead of swords or magic, the mercenaries employ weapons like handguns, machine guns, and grenades to take on their foes. A wide variety of ammunition types and attack sequences are available for upgrades throughout, and the type of weapon used can mean the difference between life and death. Resonance of Fate is a highly strategic PlayStation game that places great emphasis on intelligent tactics; the outcome of a battle depends on the player’s ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Combat in the battle system is unforgiving, and nemeses are relentless. Each attack must be executed in battle against each enemy with precision.     For true rpg fans only!

    I feel I must warn you upfront: This is for hardcore rpg lovers. This is also for people who love the grind. Lastly, this game is DIFFICULT. If these words haven't swayed you away from your curiosity, congratulations! You might like this game. Resonance of Fate is a robust, stylish action/rpg that houses one of the most gripping plots I've come across in a game. It also has a unique spin on turn-based gameplay by incorporating in with real-time battles. Enemies don't move unless you move or attack. Superficial damage, called scratch damage is non-permanent and heals gradually over time, but if you or your enemy get hit by a direct damage type of attack, all scratch damage is converted into real damage and added to the direct attack's power.     changing the fate

    this game has mercenaries against the clergy in a turn based role playing game switch real time trappings.each enemy and area requires a strategy to defeat or conquer.the game has a limit break-esque style basel system and different environmental demands.fight ing is one of the deepest parts of the game.the bosses are a bit of a challenge to beat and take some time to do it.the monsters look godd visually as do the characters.the movements seem a bit robotic though.the overworld is a hex based map that requires a cursor to move from place to place.the game has nice combat features and map structures ,which are fresh.this may be an alternative to try alongside final fantasy.

    i still got bullets to spare

    I can't believe what a grinder of a game this is. This is more than I could imagined and i'm so excited that it's just not some short lil action game, collecting these hidden bezel shards is a huge challenge and that my friends is what a game is suppose to do. Grinding will become your new best friend, i promise you that. If you got $20 bucks to spare, i recommend picking this one up. I have yet to beat this game. I love the combat system it's very unique and easy to get a handle on. The only downside that I have about this game is that I wish there were some more characters you could switch from specializing in different weapons such as the bazooka, sniper rifle, etc. But i suppose that would deter from the game's y 'fast' pace so some dlc would've been nice.     A must play rpg

    Resonance of Fate is a great game that is very underrated. Because this game came out around the same time as Final Fantasy 13 it did not get nearly as much attention that it deserves. Brings a brand new style of game play to the RPG serious and unlike many games now, it is very difficult and molds you to become a perfectionist when it comes to the game. It has a very high learning curve but once it has been mastered I guarantee that this game will leave you very satisfied once completed. Do not bother with IGN reviews since i believe in my own personal opinion that IGN gives game scores based on how much money the game producers give them. Watch Classic Game Room (CGR) for a very accurate review on the game. Again a must play for hardcore to moderately serious RPG gamers.
